The blade is made of high quality VG-10 steel blade core and 66 layers folded Damascus steel with a hardness of 59-60 Rockwell. The 66 layers include 34 layers of SUS 430 and 32 layers of SUS 431 stainless steel. The thimble is made of VG-10 steel and a hygienic passage between blade and handle.
